Why We Exist…

Ash and Morning was born from the deepest places of love, loss, and legacy.

After growing up on the East Coast and spending nearly a decade exploring the Colorado mountains, I built a life rooted in adventure, love, and connection. In time, I met my husband and years later we welcomed our son, Ashton — a radiant light who, despite battling a rare genetic disorder, brought immense joy during his eight months on earth.

After laying our son to rest, my husband and I set out on a journey around the world in the fall of 2024 — seeking healing, purpose, and space before expanding our family again. But in early 2025, tragedy struck once more. My husband passed away unexpectedly during our travels.

During the planning and after the celebration of my husband’s life, I found myself questioning everything.
Is this what he would have wanted? Is this how he would have chosen to be remember? Was everyone who mattered there?
Those unanswered questions stayed with me. It was from that ache, and a desire to bring meaning to loss, that

Ash and Morning came to life.

This isn’t about legal wills or trust documents. It’s about something more human — a creative and intentional space for people to shape how they wish to be remembered. Whether you're planning your own celebration of life or helping a loved one preserve theirs, my hope is to offer guidance, comfort, and a little peace of mind during one of life’s most vulnerable seasons.

We may not get to choose when we go — but we can choose how we are remembered.
